The mission of the Charleroi Area School District Education Foundation is to provide economic support. Its purpose is to enhance the performing arts, athletics, academics and extracurricular activities through the distribution of funds provided by local business, community and our alumni.

About the Foundation:

Charleroi Area School District Education Foundation (CASDEF) is a private, non-profit foundation with a 501 (c) (3) status whose exclusive purpose is to assist in the development of the innovative, educational programs in the Charleroi Area School District. It will also coordinate fund raising efforts to the benefit of the Elementary, Middle and Secondary school students and faculty of the Charleroi Area School District. The CASDEF will collaborate in the development and funding of selected scholarships and programs in academics and athletics through an inclusive process that involves students, teachers, and school administrators. Our objective is to maintain the educational excellence for future generations of our children. The goals of the Charleroi Area School District Education Foundation is to provide a rich variety of educational services, programs, and scholarships to the students throughout the communities that comprise the Charleroi Area School District. Another core focus of the CASDEF is the professionals we entrust with teaching and inspiring our children. Grant programs to enhance the classroom learning experience encourage teachers to develop good ideas, innovative lesson plans and collaborate across multiple classrooms. To accomplish these goals, the CASDEF will pursue private foundation and government grants at the state and county levels, as well as corporate and individual contributions.

The Charleroi Area School District Education Foundation (CASDEF) is a non-profit organization exempt from taxation under IRS Code 501(c)(3), a public charity described in section 170(B)(1)(vi) of the code, and accordingly, an appropriate institution within which to establish a fund for charitable purposes.
