The Charleroi Area School District has considered multiple factors when deciding on the layered prevention strategies to be included in our health and safety plans. In addition, the Charleroi Area School District has developed the health and safety plan to quickly transition to stronger containment or mitigation strategies as needed based on local factors, especially if Washington County has moderate and high levels of community transmission.

Highlighted information:

  1. Finally, we are providing three learning options to Charleroi Area School District families for the 2021-2022 school year:
    1.  In-person learning (5 days a week),
    2. Charleroi Area Online Academy (COLA online learning 5 days a week)
    3. Home Education.
  2.  Federal mask orders governing face coverings on transportation.

All students and drivers must wear a face covering while bordering, disembarking, or traveling on school transportation busses or vans.

  3. In the absence of an existing, valid and binding order, it is acceptable for someone who wishes to wear a facial covering, as defined by the PA DOH, regardless of vaccination status, to do so in our schools and/or at district activities
