SUMMER FEEDING IS COMING TO AN END!

The Charleroi School district would like to thank everyone who supported the Summer Feeding Program. With summer slowly coming to a close, the last day for summer pick up will be Tuesday, September 1, 2020.  Meals included will cover through Friday, September 4, 2020. 

Over the summer, the Charleroi Area School District served over 18,000 + breakfast and lunches at three different serving sites.  I would like to personally thank my staff for the courageous and selfless service they provided to our community. Our job is to feed the kids, and we did just that!

The National School Lunch Program will start on Tuesday, September 8, 2020. All students grades K-12 will be eligible to receive breakfast and lunch regardless of whether they are signed up for Charleroi Online Learning Academy or the Hybrid model. The program cost is based on your free/reduced lunch application, or full cost for those not eligible for free and reduced lunch. The cost for full pay breakfast/lunches for the 2020-2021 school year are as follows:

• Breakfast: $1.20

• Lunch K-5: $2.20

• Lunch Grades 6-12: $2.45

A free/reduced lunch application is located on the district website at https://www.charleroisd.org/administration/2 or https://www.schoolcafe.com/

Breakfast/Lunch pickup site during the 2020-2021 school year will be at Charleroi High School Auditorium on Mondays and Thursdays from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Breakfast/Lunches will be delivered to your car from the auditorium door of the building. No one will be entering the school buildings. Cafeteria personnel will be there to handle distribution in an efficient and safe manner, taking into consideration the health, safety, and welfare of all involved. Please make sure you have your student’s name and ID Number upon Pickup.

Meals will be available for students during remote learning days. A sign up form will be posted to the website and social media in the upcoming days.

SchoolCafé Eligibility

All full PA-SES users should be aware that SchoolCafé Eligibility is the new Online Apps website that is powered by PrimeroEdge. This change will enable the parent/guardian to complete the eligibility applications on any computer or any mobile device. It will not change the process for them or you.

PrimeroEdge Point of Service (POS) customers who currently use SchoolCafé for payments will now be able to provide Parents/Guardians the ability to apply for benefits through SchoolCafé, instead of www.paschoolmeals.com to complete an eligibility application. If you have questions about this integration, you may contact PrimeroEdge directly for additional information.
