Home Football Events

On September 14, 2020, U.S. District Judge William Stickman, IV held that some of the COVID-19 mitigation orders entered by Governor Wolf and Secretary of Health Levine violate the federal constitution. Specifically, Judge Stickman found that orders regarding capacity at athletic events, mandatory stay-at-home, and business closures are unconstitutional. Many of the governor's orders, however, were not affected by Judge Stickman's decision.

The governor immediately indicated his intention to appeal the decision to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He will also be seeking a stay, which would keep his orders in full force and effect pending the appeal.

Outdoor Athletic Event Tickets

Due to Governor Wolf’s mandate of a maximum 250 people (including players and game personnel) attending outdoor athletic events, Charleroi Area School District will only have 180 tickets for sale at the stadium entrance gate. All tickets will cost $5.

A student purchasing a ticket is only permitted to enter with a parent/guardian.  Students can’t purchase tickets individually, they must be accompanied by an adult.

Free School Breakfast & Lunch

Charleroi Area School District currently participates in a program where your child can receive a FREE school Breakfast and Lunch due to the ongoing pandemic. Charleroi Area School District Return To School Health and Safety Plan Unanimously Approved By Board of Directors on July 28, 2020

Return to School Questionnaire

At the school board meeting on July 28, 2020, the Board approved the 2020-2021 Reopening, Health, and Safety Plan. At its core, the plan outlines three phases of in-school, face to face instruction, while also giving parents and guardians the option of remote learning for the entire year. Parents/Guardians must choose one of the two options for their children for this year. Additionally, the Board approved a revised 2020-21 calendar with a new student start date of Tuesday, September 8, 2020. The full Reopening, Health, and Safety Plan and the revised 2020-21 calendar can be viewed by visiting our website: charleroisd.org.

This questionnaire will provide you with a description of the two learning options for your child and will ask information pertaining to your home technology and internet access.

We kindly ask that you complete one form per student. Submissions are due by August 7, 2020.
If you do not complete the form for your student, they will automatically be enrolled in Option 1: Face to Face Instruction/Hybrid Model.
