22-23 Meal Applications

Dear Parents,
For the past two years, the USDA has offered waivers to Child Nutrition Programs across the
United States. This program provided students with breakfast and lunch at no cost. Unfortunately, these
waivers expired on June 30, 2022.

Starting this 2022-2023 school year, Child Nutrition programs across the nation will return to pre-
pandemic operations. All families are once again asked to complete and submit a Free/Reduced
Meal Application regardless of income. The more applications completed, the better the school can
feed all students.

In the past, the first 30 days of the school year used the status from the previous year if no new
application was received. Since very few meal applications have been submitted over the past two years,
here is what you can do to ensure your children are ready to start the new school year:

Complete the Charleroi School District 22-23 Meal Application by clicking the link below:
https://www.schoolcafe.com/CharleroiSchoolSD

If you have difficulties completing it, please watch this Video: https://vimeo.com/280726060/a627865334

All applications will be completed digitally through the School Café program. This is also the
same place you can add funds to your child’s lunch account, watch what they eat, pay for Chromebook
Insurance, and make multiple other types of payments to the district.

If you cannot access this through your personal cell phone, computer, or tablet, please make an
appointment at the Charleroi Administration Office to complete it on a provided computer. Appointments
can be made by calling Mrs. Danelle Patterson at (724) 483-3509 ext 1223

We’re committed to working tirelessly to provide high-quality, nutritious, healthy, and well-
balanced meals to all students. You and your child/children’s well-being has always been our highest
priority, and we’re committed to helping make this transition back to everyday operations as seamless as
possible.

Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns you may have.
